The legends of tomorrow will take root in the crossovers today. That bit of wisdom might not apply to all, but it definitely fits when talking about the upcoming two-parter between The CW superhero shows The Flash and Arrow. As they did last season, the two programs will tell one tale starting with Flash on Tuesday, December 1, and ending with the next day’s Arrow. The episodes, titled “Legends of Today” and “Legends of Yesterday,” respectively, clearly nod towards the 2016-debuting series Legends of Tomorrow.
In “Today,” Casper Crump’s Vandal Savage shows up in Flash’s town of Central City in search of Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renée) who is also (or will become) Hawkgirl. Realizing he’s in over his head, Flash takes her to Starling City so that Arrow and his growing army of vigilantes can help keep her safe. They don’t do such a great job, as Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) shows up and flies away with her.
Meanwhile, “Yesterday” will find Arrow and Flash trying to hide the Hawks before going and meeting Vandal Savage face to face. While they do that, the supporting players all get together to come up with a weapon powerful enough to stop the immortal villain.
Legends Of Tomorrow will star Hawkgirl and Hawkman as well as Flash alums Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and Firestorm (Victor Garber and Franz Drameh) as well as White Canary (Caity Lotz) and Atom (Brandon Routh) from Arrow. The team, lead by Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) will travel through time in an attempt to stop Savage’s plans, which threaten time and reality itself.
