Stone Temple Pilots have announced their first tour with new singer Jeff Gutt. In mid-November, the band formally announced that the former Dry Cell singer would be taking over their lead vocal duties at a concert in Los Angeles, where they also unveiled their new single, “Meadow”.
Gutt replaces the recently-passed Chester Bennington, who had left the band in late 2015 to focus solely on Linkin Park. Bennington himself had served as the replacement for original vocalist Scott Weiland, who died of a drug overdose in 2015.
The band’s upcoming tour is set to begin in March of 2018, and will see the band head out across the western United States, headlining club venues before also playing at a number of open air festivals. Their first show is set for March 2nd in Santa Clarita, California, with their last date currently scheduled for May 20th in Columbus, Ohio at Rock on the Range. Stone Temple Pilots are also expected to accompany the tour with a new album this coming Spring.
